On Sunday, November 10, 2013 American Friends of Meir Panim hosted VOCALTRITION, a night of Jewish and Cantorial music, at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD.

The concert was attended by over 800 patrons from Baltimore to Ohio and featured exquisite and uplifting performances by Cantors Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, Avi Albrecht, Emanuel Perlman and Melvin Luterman. Also lending their considerable talents were Conductor Izchak Haimov, Pianist Daniel Gildar, Violinist Bar Haimov and the 15-member Maryland Male Symphonic Choir.

Proceeds of the concert will help Meir Panim in their efforts to serve Israel’s most vulnerable citizens – hungry children, impoverished Holocaust survivors and families struggling to make ends meet.

The concert was followed by a magnificent VIP reception, attended by over 150 donors. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread generously donated by the Knish Shop, who provided an abundance of delicious food and a varied selection to please any and all in attendance. Shelly’s Blossom Shop did a gorgeous job with the flowers.

We are so grateful to all of our sponsors and to each and every person that made this event a success. AFMP’s Maryland Regional Director Leslie Goldberg worked day and night to pull this together. Special thanks go out to our Title Sponsors Leonard and Phyllis Attman as well as our Honorary Chairs Howard Friedman and Dr. Paul Schneider.

Last but not least, our deepest appreciation goes out to the Baltimore community for their strong compassion and concern for the impoverished of Israel.
